Sam tries using Freddie as a battering ram.Ĭarly, Sam and Freddie take refuge in a closet, but are terrified by a disembodied clown's head they find. The promise lasts only a few minutes before the lights go out, glass starts to shatter, and an angry voice begins yelling "Get out!" The girls scream and Freddie tries opening the door to the apartment, but the knob comes off. Sam picks the lock of 13B and they go in, and start broadcasting, promising to stay on the air all night, no matter what. The gang prepare for their webshow, with Carly donning a queen bee costume, and Freddie dressing up as a witch (because his mom made him wear it) but Sam doesn't dress up. Carly and Sam decide to do a special Halloween episode of iCarly from Apartment 13B. Halberstadt, a longtime resident of the building, enters the foyer and Carly and Freddie try to ask her about Apartment 13B, but she can't hear them. On her way down there, she finds Freddie dressed in the Halloween costume that his mom made-a witch's cloak, broom, and a wart.ĭownstairs, they give the letter to Lewbert who (after yelling at Freddie for making fun of his own wart) tells them no one's lived in Apartment 13B for 15 years because it's haunted. It's Halloween and a letter addressed to Apartment 13B has been accidentally delivered to Carly and Spencer, so Carly heads downstairs to give the letter to Lewbert. The episode made its home video debut on the SpongeBob SquarePants: Halloween VHS and DVD, originally released on August 27, 2002. He explains to them how offended he is by people dressing up as him for Halloween, and that SpongeBob's costume is the worst of all. The Flying Dutchman crashes the Halloween party.Įverybody starts laughing at SpongeBob, but soon the real Flying Dutchman appears. However, when a jellyfish stings Patrick, whom the rope is tied to, he starts running around in pain, causing SpongeBob to fly around uncontrollably, exposing his true identity. They then go to the roof of the Krusty Krab where a Halloween party is taking place, turn off all the lights, and lower SpongeBob with a rope, with Patrick providing the voice of the "Dutchman," which initially terrifies everyone. Believing themselves to be scary, SpongeBob and Patrick go around town attempting to scare people, and believe themselves to be successful in doing so, although their "victims" are simply confused by their antics. Patrick shaves SpongeBob's head, making it round. SpongeBob realizes that a real ghost has a round head and that he has a square one. They make a "Flying Dutchman" costume, but it fails to scare anyone. Patrick shaves SpongeBob's head so his ghost costume will look better. SpongeBob, who has a reputation for being easily scared, is then nicknamed "SpongeBob ScaredyPants," rushes home, and is scared by everything he sees on the way. Squidward, dressed up like the Flying Dutchman, appears behind SpongeBob, saying that he will steal his soul, terrifying him. ![]() He tells the story of the Flying Dutchman, a ghost who steals souls on Halloween. Krabs stops him and asks him if he wants to hear his "annual scary story," and he then does. After he finishes as quickly as possible, he begins to run away, but Mr. At the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob is cleaning the dishes at the end of the workday, as he becomes frightened by the creepy door closing and a message reading "BOO" on the order slips.
